I was soooo excited to get a photo shoot with our dear friends' daughter Kayley. She is five years old and was diagnosed with leukemia last September. Cancer SUCKS!!!! Bottom line, however, she is such a fighter and takes the punches one after another without even flinching. She is an amazing little girl with such a strong spirit and an infectious smile. This is one my favorites from our photo shoot that day.

I did not jump for joy when I saw it was going to be 43 degrees this weekend!!! The flip flops are soooo coming out!!!

I did not scream for joy when I took my son to the doctor for the 3rd time this month when the doc gave him a prescription for cough medicine with codeine!!!! Simply because I knew we would finally BOTH get a good nights sleep!!!

And since we live in a "lake effect snow" area and am currently surrounded by a lot of snow.....I did not instantly get into a fabulous mood when I went to the tanner for the first time yesterday. There is nothing better than the smell of coconut and pina colada and a bit of a tan to make my fat look better!!!!!

Wow!!! How is that for a "break" from blogging? Six months have gone by and I think I'm ready to jump back in.

So what has been going on? My sister has gotten engaged. How does this effect my life? Well, first I'm very happy for her and will hopefully have a baby to cuddle soon after the vows. Second, she has asked me to be her Maid of Honor, which is wonderful except that every other lovely lady in the wedding party is a skinny beyotch!!!! I say that with the most lovingly tone as they are all FABULOUS girls!!!!

So, she was engaged in October and the wedding is in May. Why on earth would I get serious about losing weight until 3 months before the big day? I am big on counting "something" while trying to drop some pounds whether it be calories, fat grams , points, etc. So I started counting points last week....you know, the whole weight watchers thing. Why did I choose this method? Simply because the other two weren't working this time around. I'm still doing cardio (not killing myself, just a mere mile or so), strength training (push ups, squats, lunges, dips, etc.) and making a LOT better food choices (this has really been my downfall since I LOVE sweets and carbs). So, I have dropped 4.4lbs this week!!!! I know it's not healthy to drop more than 2 per week, but let's face it, I was eating crap before and most of that is probably water weight!!!

My kids have been passing a "viral infection" back and forth for the past month and it is getting rather irritating. At least we haven't had the "pukey" flu yet. That is one thing I can't stand!!!

I am in the process of planning a bachelorette party. Any ideas/input would be greatly appreciated.......

I did NOT jump for joy and want to kiss MckMama when I discovered on her site the whole "blurry" background post!!!!! WTH?!!!! I can totally do that. Thank You MckMama for teaching me the best trick out there......here is my homework......

I am NOT paying the price for being a "laid back" mama all summer and ready to pull my hair out at bedtime to attempt to get the kids on semi-routine for school starting in 2 weeks!!!!

I am also NOT putting off organizational projects in my house for no reason whatsoever........ugh....I wish I had a genie!!!!

I have missed my random thoughts on Tuesday's so here it goes.....

*I am wishing that I had paid more attention in computer class. Why? Well, I decided to put my little photography hobby into a really small business to see how it goes. I was talking to a friend who did this a couple years back and she told me I needed a website........so I got one. I feel like it's my first day on a new job. I want it to be perfect and yet there is so much to do and fix and tweak!!!! If you want to take a look.......check it out here. I really hope that link works!!!!

*Big "J" started his first year of "tackle" football. All of his friends are nervous. His dad tells him, "Just make sure you hit the other guy harder before they hit you"

*I had a beautiful garden this year. I was weeding it AND watering it. I was down there last week picking beans and guess what I saw? A SNAKE!!!! The garden can rot now......

Not Me Monday

I did not lure my 3 yr old out into the 90 degree heat yesterday with a promise to ride the 4-wheeler so I could do a photo shoot with her. That would be mean and I would never do that.

I did not tell my kids that it was midnight last night when we lost power so that they would go to sleep (when it was only 9:30).

I did not watch meaningless tv like "Housewives of _____" marathon's and Miami Social and Tori and Dean and Big Brother yesterday.

Saving the best for last.............I DID NOT want to strangle my 8 yr old when he announced "EWWWW that is POOP at the bottom of the pool" when we were at my mother in law's marina pool. Yes, there were other people present at the pool and I thought little J had made it to the potty in time, I mean she hasn't had an accident in over a month. Evidently I was wrong....

OHB has completed Week One

OHB (Operation Hot Body) has successfully completed week one in my household!!!

I called my brother, who is a trainer in FL., and said, "So I have dropped 25lbs. and am now at a stand still and we can't stay standin' where we are at right now!! There is still some leftover baby weight hangin' around and it has to go bye-bye!!! Please help me"

So, he must have heard the desperation in my voice and he put me on a "clean eating" plan. No, it's not a "cleanse" for your body or a fad diet. It is filled with great things for your body like oatmeal, chicken, turkey, vegetables and brown rice. The idea is to feed your body things it can use. Now even though I love everything on the list, he told me it would get boring and that is what will make it hard. He was right!!!! I still love everything but would love to dip my chicken in bbq sauce or have a little butter on my rice/potato.

So the plan is to do this 2 weeks out of the month and then the other two weeks just don't go over board. I mean at this rate, I will think 2Tbsp. of my lite dressing on a salad will be heaven!!!! It's amazing how well you feel when you eat healthy!!

I am happy to report that after week one I am down 5.2lbs and 3 inches!!!!! That is enough to keep me eating boring for the next week. I totally get that the majority of the 5lbs is water weight, but I don't care, it is off of my body!!!!!

At this rate, he is going to get a really nice Christmas gift!!!!

1 can refried beans

chili powder (amount depends on how much of a kick you want)

pepper jack cheese

sharp cheddar cheese

1 can crushed tomatoes or salsa

Heat all over the stove in a pan. Serve with chips........EVERYONE will want your recipe!!!!

The Blog Hop this week is: Tell me 3 things you didn't know about me. I am focusing them around my oldest, Jake because today it is all about him......since it is his birthday!!!!!

~Jake fueled my passion for photography ever since he was days old. I just couldn't believe that he was mine!!!! We had to leave him in the hospital for one night after they discharged me from having him. We were NOT prepared for that at all!!!!! I feel for all of those babies that are born prematurely or with illnesses......my heart truly breaks for them.

~ I fought with my brother like crazy while we were growing up even though we were 8 years apart. It's crazy how Jake acts JUST like him at that age!!!!! No wonder Jake idolizes his Uncle Matt and they get along like 2 peas in a pod!!!

~ I am EXTREMELY thankful that my epidural worked while I delivered him because it didn't work when I gave birth to my daughter....so I know the difference!! It made me not so angry at my hubby when he ran out to Burger King to get something to eat at 11:45pm because "this was my first child and I was only dilated to 6".........Jake was born at 12:21am. Yes, it's true that he almost missed the birth of his son for a whopper.......but my epidural worked and I wasn't at all upset.

Happy Birthday Jake!!!! We love you!!!!

I LOVE Summer Photo Contest

There is nothing I love more than the summer, the beach and pictures of my kids. So when I checked out An Island Life and saw she was having a Summer Photo contest, I knew I was in!!!! The hard part however, is narrowing it down to just ONE photo. I guess if I were forced to then this would be it. Jake was 5 and Jaise was 1. He was showing her the "ropes" to the beach and where all of the best sand castle building spots were at. My VERY talented friend sketched this for me in a size of 16x20 and it is hanging in my living room.....I guess that could qualify it for one of my favorites!!!!

1. I do enjoy the outside. The sun and the sand that is. Yes, it is true I grew up on a farm and I can have fun goin' muddin' with the best of them.

However, I do NOT enjoy being cold, being eaten by mosquitoes and sleeping on a hard ground!!!! BUT I did sleep outside in a tent last night.

You might be a redneck if you camp out in your front yard!!!

Seriously, that is the best way. I get to pee in my own bathroom and in the morning I get to drink my coffee and check my email. Momma is happy and the kids are happy!!

2. Hubby had to work all weekend so we celebrated the 4th last night with fireworks and our bonfire.

3. VERY excited that Jaise is potty trained!!!! I mean, come on, she has been changing her own diaper for nearly 6 months, wasn't it time!!!???? Do you know how happy I am to walk by the diaper aisle in the store? hmmmm, what can I spend that money on?

4. Have to clean out the tahoe this week. Our lease is up and it's going back. Don't get me wrong, we love the room and how it rides and the kids are pretty big fans of the dvd player. However, GM can take their monthly payment right on back when they take the tahoe. It's time to shave the monthly budget and that will do it in a big way!!!! The State of MI just layed off 100 troopers and there is talk of 100-200 more this next fiscal year. That is soooo NOT funny!!!! I wonder if Michigan starts handing out IOU's instead of paychecks like California, if our mortgage company will then take and IOU from us? You know, like, when we get it you will get it?

I searched high and low for a Monday Meme that I thought was fun and that I could answer and I found one!!! Woo hooo!!!! Problem is that I can't find where I found it so I can't link up to it which means I won't have NEAR as many comments today which is a bummer because I LOVE comments!!!! Anyway, here it goes.....

1. What are your most treasured possessions?

Hands down, my hubby and my kids. Don't get me wrong, I really like my computer, coffee, lip gloss, tahoe and jewelry BUT I could live without those things. If you took my hubby or kids from me, that would be another story.

2. What was the best material gift you ever received?

It's a tie between my a)wedding ring b)anniversary ring and c)my necklace from Kristen's Custom Creations.

3. If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?

My Victoria Secret Pink Sweats and my comfiest grey t-shirt ever and flip flops for sure.

4. If a world-famous photographer were going to take your portrait, where would you be? What would be around you or in your hands? Would there be other beings in the portrait? What would a world-famous photographer shoot to capture your image?

This is soooo easy. I would be at a sandy beach. I would be holding my daughter's hand. My hubby, son and daughter would be in the photo as well. We would have some photos sitting down as a family and then we would have some walking hand and hand down the beach. That would be perfect!!!

5. Where do you feel most at home?

My house.....I'm not sure where else I would feel most at home at....

1. The shocker of the week was the death of Michael Jackson. So as each television station has been doing stories and playing his music, my 7 yr old has become very interested in Michael's songs. He now walks around the house singing "Beat It" and he can't believe that MOM listened to his songs and actually knows the words. And he absolutely does not believe that for my 11th birthday I was THRILLED to receive a t-shirt with Michael Jackson's Thriller album on it and MATCHING dangly earrings!!!! That was the best birthday EVER!!!!!

2.I want to thank my friend Kristen over at La Dolce Vita for pointing me in the direction of Artfire. I had never heard of it before and was looking for an outlet to sell some of my new Wish Bracelets.......take a look........

Aren't these the coolest thing? You can use them as a bracelet or an anklet and they are perfect to give to anyone for any occasion!!! You make a wish as you put it on, you wear it 24/7 and when the charm wears off then your wish shall come true!!! So check out my others at my Artfire Store called PinkShimmer.

3. We took 3 HUGE bowls of lettuce and spinach out of our garden yesterday. You know what that means......we'll be poopin' green all week!!!

4. Jake (my 7 yr old) has a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. His list this year is much shorter than past years and it includes a couple of video games, a couple of books and legos. Not a $30 lego set.....he wants a $100 lego set.....WTF!???? I just can't bring myself to purchase a box of legos for $100 when he already has a rubbermaid tub filled with legos!!!! Am I a mean mom?

I do shop online and the items vary from electronics, clothes, etc.

3. Name a song from your past that you have always loved. what year was it recorded?

Keeper of the Stars...that was our wedding song (1997)

4. If you found out there was a pedophile living in your neighborhood, would you take any action or ignore the fact??

Not sure what "take action" means. I probably wouldn't take out a front page ad in the paper announcing it BUT I would do my research and find out what type of car they drove, etc. and my kids would be no where near their house.

5. If you could live in any city In the USA...what would it be.

6. what is the one city you wouldn't live in even if you were paid to!?

Not ONE particular city. I love visiting the city but I'm just not a city girl. I love my corn fields and no neighbors!!!

If it were a matter of putting food on the table.....sure. If it were to buy a new coach bag....probably not.

1. Tell me again why I plant a garden? I know it is healthier eating for my family and I am a good mom like that. BUT.....weeding SUCKS!!!! If you don't do it first thing in the morning then the heat will kill you or the mosquitoes....your pick. Then when you plant seeds in the ground, you get to guess when they pop up which is the plant and which is a weed!!!

2. I am somewhat of a girly girl and you will NEVER find me without my toenails painted. I used to get my nails done at a salon but that stopped when I started having kids and now we should probably have bread and milk before I get them done. BUT look what I found to use as a topcoat.....Nailene's Acrylic Strong. It really works to keep your nails looking nice for an entire week or longer without chipping!!!!
3. I don't consider myself "high maintenance". I love the sun, sand and warmth. Unfortunately, for many reasons, we live in Michigan. While the heat has finally arrived, it is BAMMMM 90 and HOT and somewhat sticky!!!!! I can probably count on one hand the amount of days that we get that are sunny, 75 with a slight breeze.........ok...maybe I am high maintenance.

1. My son, who is 7, is in the Little League Championship Game and I am WAY excited about it. I know it's all about having fun at this age, but I get so nervous when there are 2 outs and he is up to bat!!! I don't know why....he is a great hitter but I just can't stand it!!

2. I absolutely DESPISE mosquitos. I don't care where the fall on the food chain or the circle of life, I just really HATE them!!!!

3. I have a serious addiction.....Bejeweled Blitz on facebook. I have played two games already while writing this post. I thought the newness of the game would wear off but I find myself attempting to beat all of my "friends'" scores which is totally ridiculous.....I mean how can someone get 198,000 in ONE minute?!!!!

4. I also have OCD when it comes to my garden. I use my "weasel" everyday to attack the weeds. Weeds fear me!!! :o)

Baseball Playoff Mom

It's baseball playoff time in our household and I'm afraid that my competitive nature is coming out!!! I have a 7 year old and the entire season is devoted to learning the game and being good sports, etc.

We never keep score.

There are no "losers".....until playoffs. It's now double elimination.

First game was last night. We played a team that we could easily beat.

All of a sudden we find ourselves down by 6!!! We are bobbling the ball, over throwing the base and can't get a hit to save us. What!!??

I found myself more nervous that my son was up to bat than if it were me!!! On top of being behind we have dark clouds rolling in. It's the bottom of the 5th and we are down 13 to 10. We get a base hit, a double, another base hit and before you know it we pull ahead 14-13!!!! First strike of lightening was seen and the game was called!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! We advance to the winners bracket on Wednesday!!

You're Gonna Miss This

I attended my cousin's graduation ceremony this past week. It was held at the same high school I graduated from so it brought back a few memories from a few years ago. Their class song was "You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins.

Time does fly by and they have no idea how much they are going to miss these days of being carefree. No mortgage payment, no property taxes due, no groceries to buy for the whole family. I wish all of the graduates good luck in their future because I don't envy anyone entering into the workforce during this economy!!!!

If you are naturally thin, then you probably won't relate to anything in this post and I probably don't like you. (Just Kidding!). Whether you are trying to drop a few pounds or just get into a healthy lifestyle by incorporating exercise into your daily routine, you can probably relate to the plague of "boredom". Seriously, my treadmill has been by BFF since last October, but change is good and having more than one friend is healthy. Have you seen the new EA Active for the Wii? I am convinced that I could look like the model in the commercials and I promise that I would do it EVERY DAY..........if only I had one. I would also need a wii since I don't have one of those, so we are looking at just over $300 for everything AND my birthday is just around the corner!!! Alison Sweeney looks AMAZING after having a baby just 4 short months ago and she has been workin' out with her trainer in a box aka Active. Of course she had one GIVEN to her. I simply ask...what does she have that I don't? ummm....MONEY!!!! I mean, haven't you noticed that we are in a recession? So, while I am sure that I would LOVE a wii and the new Active game, I will simply have to watch others on their 30 day challenges and admire from afar. Unless my long lost rich uncle shows up at my door step.

Tuesday Tribute: Peer Pressure

I never thought I would say that I LOVE peer pressure, but I do!!!

Jaise is 3 and she has a friend, Avery who is one month younger than Jaise. Avery is as smart as a whip, seriously the little tyke could start college right now and be just fine!!! So, they both started a month or so ago to seriously potty train. Everyone has told me that "girls are SOOOO much easier than boys". Whateva.....

We started with a prize box and Jaise was on task. The cooler the prize, the more she wanted to pee AND if she poo-pood she got to pick TWO prizes!!!! We were sailing through and no accidents for an entire week. No more diapers....wahoo!!!!! Then......she stopped, recessed, pedaled backwards.......stopped peeing, etc. in the toilet. What?!!! I don't understand. Then I got tired of cleaning up accidents and put the pull-ups back on and cried....

THEN, Avery started coming to play with us yesterday and Avery doesn't wear pull-ups EVER!!! She asked Jaise why she was wearing them. Good question Avery! Then Avery went POOP on the potty and Jaise was a witness and all of a sudden had to go on the potty. BAM!!! The switch had been clicked again with only one accident yesterday.

Then last night.....you guessed it....."Mom, I have to go BIG poopy on the potty like Avery!!" and she DID!!!! I will spare you the details but we celebrated BIG time!!!! So I figure if we had this much success in one day, that within a month Jaise will be ready for college as well.

Mother's Day Memories

I hope all of you mom's out there had a great Mother's Day. Ours was filled with food, family and fun!! We had brunch at my sister's house and then played games and drank coffee on the deck. I really just wanted a nice, updated family pic and this is what I got....Jaise is not so thrilled to be there.Homemade gifts are the best kind in my book and here is what my little munchkins made for me.....birdhouses!!! They painted them and signed their names on the bottom. They were very proud and I was thrilled to get them!!!

And then there is Jaise and "her" Brock. They are cousins and she absolutely ADORES him!!!! He will do just about anything she asks if she gives him food!!! There will be more pics of these two later in the week for WW and ATWT.

I, like many other families out there, enjoy saving money and have been forced to cut corners and trim our budget with the turn the economy has taken.

Pictured above is a number of products that I brought home for $20.79. The total before my coupons was $70.96. Cleaning products and medicines like Excedrin are not cheap, but I know that I would rather have that $50 savings in my pocket than in theirs!!!

I have found a great website that is a great tool in helping me discover these deals called Refund Cents . Some services are free but I would highly suggest purchasing your membership for a mere $1 and some change every month. This gives you Internet access to everything on the site. You can upgrade and also receive a magazine in the mail as well, but that is your choice.

Now don't get all excited....this is NOT a photo of me. Although it is an ad for some kind of flip flops to "tone" your legs/butt, etc. while you wear them. Now, I would be the first to wear these babies 24 hours a day/7 days a week if I thought they would work and I would look like her. However, I like to think that I have a few brain cells and that is why I am STILL doing the 30 day Shred with Jillian Michaels and the sisters and Shrinking Jeans.

It was a challenge this week with the birthday party events and the yummilicious birthday cake. I didn't deprive myself of a piece (or two), I just knew that I had to do some extra work (which was totally worth it!!!).

The weather is getting nicer and that encourages me to drink water and eat healthier. Jillian says to chew on a piece of gum when you want to snack and this really works for me, so try it.

This week I am down 1/2 inch total and 0.2lbs. Not a lot but not a gain either!!! I'll take it!!

Tuesday Tribute: 3 years ago Today

It's hard to believe just how fast the time flies. Three years ago today, I was "chunky" and very irritated with a certain doctor that assured me my epidural would "not" run out. I then began to have an "out of body" experience as our little princess entered the world. I will spare you the details since this is a tribute to HER, not my labor experience!!!! So sit back and enjoy the show.

Here is little Jaise just minutes old. Isn't it weird how your babies cry is the most wonderful sound in the world at that moment?

I can't believe I am posting "THE" hospital photo for millions to view, BUT it is one of my very favorite photos from that day. (You would never guess that just minutes prior to this I was yelling at my doctor, not cursing, but definitely yelling!!!)

She truly was the perfect baby. If I had not experienced it myself, I would have thought that a perfect baby didn't really exist. She slept through the night (8 straight hours) from day ONE!!! That right there qualifies her for the running of a "perfect" baby in my opinion!!!! She loved the camera from day one and never minded when I took her photo.

She has grown into a little person with her own fashion sense, language, and attitude at times. I never said she was the perfect toddler.......but we wouldn't trade her for anything!!!!

So, here we are 3 years later wondering where the time went and treasuring each day that we have together. Now, if we can just master potty training....mommy will be really happy!!!

Motivate Me Monday

We enjoyed a great weekend of weather! Sunny, warm, breezy....it couldn't have been any better!!!

Being outside helps me to not think about foods that I shouldn't be eating!!!

I am still "shredding" with Jillian and the sisters at Shrinking Jeans and we are in the final phase of our 30 days. I am slowly starting to make better food choices. I am not depriving myself of peanut butter m&m's BUT I am counting how many go in my mouth and documenting it!! You may laugh but it does make a difference!!

As for the shredding video with Jillian Michaels....my friend said it best...."Natalie is a motorized machine disguised as a human"!!! That is soooo true!!! But we do it daily because we are losing inches and fitting into clothes that we weren't able to button, get over our butt, etc. 6 months ago!!!

This week I am down 1/2 of a pound and 1 1/4 inches. Every little bit helps!! Seeing results keeps me motivated to make better choices and continue to exercise. It really isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle change.

I am beginning to develop a love/hate relationship with Jillian -trainer from the Biggest Loser. I have joined in with the Sisters at Shrinking Jeans to shred for 30 days. We are now into level 2 and I peeked at level 3 and now I completely understand how and why she gets results! One might think 20 minutes is no big deal. Then you have never met Jillian!!! However, I asked for it and this is what I need to get into shape for the 80 degree weather. This week the scale didn't budge an ounce (darn bunny) but I did lose a total of 1 inch. I am so glad that I took measurements at the beginning so that I can see some kind of progress.

So, I am soooo happy that I have found the Sisters at Shrinking Jeans!!! Most of us are shredding with Jillian Michaels in her 30 day shred to get ready for summer.

This week was pretty good and then came Sunday!!! I am cursing the Easter Bunny for leaving so many goodies to haunt me with.

I continued the shred everyday along with 2-4 miles on my treadmill. I also began counting calories and held myself to 1500 per day (except Sunday).

After stepping on the scale and measuring, I am down 2.2 lbs and 2 inches total this week. I am thrilled with the results and it gives me motivation to stick with it.

That is right. I was paid $3.04 to bring all of these products home with me from Walgreens' (plus two packages of Mentos gum that my son already snagged!!). I LOVE getting FREE things but when you can make a PROFIT at shopping, legally, that is even better!!! The toothpaste and chapstick had to be purchased in separate transactions. Why? When you purchase the toothpaste for $3.49 you will receive a register reward (good on your next purchase, same as cash) for $3.50. However, if you purchase more than one toothpaste, you will only receive one register reward. The same with the chapstick. The Physician's Formula lip products have a $10 rebate this month from Walgreen's and I also had coupons from the paper.

(Unless you are the guy that used to be a girl and didn't make the total change to a guy and still had his uterus.....but I didn't go into that detail!!)

Slim Down Sunday

Today marks the first week of my official weight loss challenge. Treadmill and resistance workouts were completed 6 out of the 7 days. I am down 1/2 of a pound and have lost 2 inches total....one inch on my waist and one inch on my hips. My friend Vicki also lost 2 inches but is down 4.5 pounds!!!!! WAHOOO!!!! I have decided to continue with my routine and am adding the Shred Challenge over at Shrinking Jeans to it. I figure adding anything with Jillian to what I am already doing has to be good!!!!

One of my friends called me this weekend and said she needed a "Jillian Michaels" to help her lose 15 pounds by June. My wheels started turning and I thought "I wouldn't mind losing 15 pounds by June either." So I figured it out to be 1.5 pounds per week as our goal. We started Sunday and weighed in and took our measurements. Each day we have to email each other our food diary and exercise for the day before. This really makes me think about what I put in my mouth when I know that I have to report it!!! AND if we GAIN on any given week, we have to put $5 per pound into a pot!!!!

What do you think about AIG?

I am pretty sure that I need blood pressure medicine because of them. Their bonus alone could buy HUNDREDS of my home over and over. It is true than I enjoy a good deal but it is also true that I clip coupons and go through the Sunday flyers to match my coupons with sales because my family has to watch every dollar, while they are getting outrageous bonuses AND they have my taxpayer money on top of that. There is something seriously wrong going on here. AIG can suck it as far as I am concerned!!! There, I feel better!!!!

How to Talk to Girls

My son is quite the reader and he was thrilled when he received this book as a gift from his aunt. You see, it has really cool boy stuff in it like how to build a fort, how to build a paper airplane, you know, all of the important things a boy should know.

Well, apparently there is also a section on "How To Talk To Girls" AND Jake read it!!!! So, without telling me a thing, he went off to school and at recess marched right up to a 3rd grader!!!! (Jake is only in 2nd grade) He proceeded to tell her a joke and then was about to let her talk about herself (just like it says in the book) and you know what she did?!!!! She slapped him!!!!!!!!!

After he told me about what happened (and me wanting her name, soc number and address to kick her butt!!!) I had to explain to him that he did the right thing and that she just wasn't a very nice girl. I mean I couldn't let his confidence be more hurt than it already was.

I guess I better read the rest of the book to find out what other things he may be attempting do!!!

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

So, was it just me or did more people enjoy seeing Mr. Bernie Madoff's new posh living quarters yesterday?

I personally didn't lose any money from Mr. Madoff (who am I kidding, I don't have any money to lose!!!). But after seeing the 90 year old man that had to go back to work in a grocery store because he DID lose all the money he had to Mr. Madoff, I think he deserves so much more than what the legal system can offer him!!!!!
